WESTERN RAIL LINE REVAMPED

The government of Ghana under the Akuffo Addo led administration has begun the re-development of the railway sector, in an effort to transform the sector massively in two years.

The Western Rail Line which has seen a great renovation runs from the Takoradi Port to Kumasi with a branch line from Dunkwa to Awaso. It is a total of 339 kilometers, out of which only 66 km from Takoradi to Nsuta were operational before this administration took over. This rail line is now as good as new!
