The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has learned of the shocking demise of Hon. Daniel Okyem Aboagye, which occurred on Friday, September 22, 2023.
The late Daniel Okyem Aboagye was a strong adherent and advocate of the ideals of the Dankwa-Dombo-Busia tradition and was elected Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency on the ticket of the Party from 2017 to 2021.
As several Ghanaians would attest to, the late Okyem Aboagye was an enterprising man with insightful business and financial acumen, qualities that translated into his personal life as he became an extremely successful entrepreneur and business magnate whose businesses employ to date, hundreds of Ghanaians.
As a member of the Finance Committee of Parliament and Government Spokesperson on Finance, Hon. Okyem Aboagye became a sought-after voice in public discourse on finance and the economy, as he was often seen and heard on various media platforms nationwide.
The Party extends our deepest condolences to his immediate family, constituents of Bantama and the entire country for the sudden and shocking loss of an illustrious citizen. In honour of his memory, the NPP directs that all Party flags at various offices across the country be flown at half-mast for the next seven days.
