The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is a centre-right and liberal-conservative political party in Ghana. Since the democratisation of Ghana in 1992, it has been one of the two dominant parties in Ghanaian politics, with its leading rival being the centre-left National Democratic Congress (NDC). John Kufuor of the NPP was President of Ghana from 2001 to 2009. At the elections held on 7 December 2004, the party won 129 out of 230 seats. The NPP candidate was Kufuor, who was re-elected as president with 52.75% of the vote. The New Patriotic Party symbol is the African elephant and the New Patriotic Party colours are red, white, and blue.
It is with great humility and honor that I present myself as a candidate for President of the Republic of Ghana on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the 2024 presidential elections.
As a humble son of Ghana, I am committed to leading this nation towards a brighter future, one that is inclusive and taps into the talents and resources of all its citizens, regardless of their political or religious affiliations. To do this, we need to continue investing in human capital development, build systems, embrace the 4th Industrial Revolution, and diversify our economy.
I believe that in spite of adversities, it is possible to achieve greatness in Ghana. I am committed to sacrifice and work tirelessly to make this a reality. I urge you all to join me in this great mission, to embrace a mindset of possibility, and to work together to build a Ghana that is inclusive, prosperous, and dignified for us all.
